Thimble

An essential part of any seamstress' kit, this brass thimble protects the wearer's finger from needle pricks while sewing. The thimble was originally a practical item, but these dainty little objects have now become collectible, and are sometimes offered as gifts to women from whom you wish to earn a slap. The thimble was one of the six original tokens used in the game Monopoly, but in 2017, it was replaced by a George Foreman Grill.
