Wedding Veil

Wedding veils were originally worn to protect the Bride from evil and impurity, because apparently a thin layer of net fabric can repel such things. In Torn, a veil is worn to protect the wedding congregation from Bridal saliva, as the women here are neither good nor pure, and are prone to spitting to get their own way.
